Salt Mountains

The fame of the salt mountains started in 2018, after a social media post by a couple photographed wearing layers at what seemed to be a mountain covered in snow, which in reality was photographed in the salt mines, went viral. Soon, the inhabitants of Port Said and neighboring governorates started to visit the Salt Mountains in order to experience the location and take photographs.

Ferial Garden

The governor of Port Said decided to renovate the garden in 2021 after it had remained for many years without development and this decision angered those interested in the history of the garden for fear of obliterating its features and removing rare historical trees and plants in it. The development work included removing the fences, green spaces, flowers, plants, and trees in aesthetic shapes, and a red mill that serves as a center for surveillance cameras; in addition to a wooden bridge and a number of murals that tell historical excerpts of the garden and the history of Port Said including a mural of the festivities that was held during the opening of the Suez Canal, in addition to a theater, an Andalusian-style mosque, and special seating areas for you to bring your drink and enjoy the scenery there.

SCA Villas of Port Fouad

As many visitors have said, it is enough to walk in the Suez Canal Authority villas area to feel as if you have moved to another time and another country. The workers of the Suez Canal Authority were foreigners who lived in villas on the French heritage and planned their streets in the same way as planning in France in the past, thinking that the French would remain in control of the Suez Canal and live in Port Said forever. Accordingly, visitors are always keen to hold photo sessions in the streets of these villas and this area has become a main destination for visitors.

Port Said's Beach

It may not be the best place to swim, but Port Said beach on the north of the city is a great place to go for a stroll. Stretching from the canal for a fair few kilometers, the beach is usually full of activities, cafeterias and has a great atmosphere.

The Ferry

The Port Fouad - Port Said ferry carries almost 100,000 persons daily including students, Port Fouad residents and workers in east Port Said projects. On both sides of the ferry, there are a lot of people fishing, feeding the Noras birds and watching ferries and ships. What is really fascinating about the ferry trip is the fact that it transfers you between two continents in less than 10 minutes in which Port Said is located in the continent of Africa and on the other hand Port Fouad is located in the continent of Asia.

De Lesseps Bay

(الجراج)

One of the newest hangout spots in Port Said which has many food and beverage stores of different tastes with suitable prices. The place attracts all young people and is always crowded and as a matter of fact most of the locals still refer to it as “The Garage” due to it formerly being a parking area with several food and beverages carts.

Mesala Garden

The Mesala garden is considered one of the most important and oldest gardens in Port Said, being a part of the valiant city’s history. It witnessed the visit of President Gamal Abdelnasser on the Victory Day and is considered the main headquarter for all political and social celebrations in the governorate. Additionally, the garden witnesses the constant visit of a herd of pigeons daily where people go to the garden to feed them and capture the best photos there. Its where in the morning, pigeons gather in large numbers and people are allowed to feed them and capture memorable photos among the fabulous scenery.

Sahet Masr

Sahet Masr is located on the "corner of the world" as many refer to it which displays a large bronze statue, a landscape area and a luminous fountain that will become an honorable facade to receive tourists coming to visit Egypt through the Suez Canal. The statue documents the greatness of the Egyptians, bears the name of Egypt, Mother of the World, and includes murals for the opening ceremony of the Suez Canal. Its length exceeds 20 meters, so that it is visible from within the waterway.

De Lesseps Statue Base

On this stone, there was the statue of Ferdinand De Lesseps, the man who recommended, designed, and initiated the digging process of the Suez Canal until one day the people of Port Said called for and did destroy the statue due to De Lesseps being unfair with the workers and gave no care at all for the ones who sacrificed their lives while digging the canal; additionally, he also took advantage of this project for his own country’s benefits.

Kayak

Have you ever kayaked before? Kayaking is a fun activity that involves moving through water in a small boat with the aid of a double-bladed paddle. You can kayak alone or along with a friend in the same boat. But the most important of all is that you kayak in the Suez Canal!

Doaiah Beach is one of the top beach destinations in Port  Said in which they provide their visitors with a wonderful experience as the waves and winds are always strong, allowing its visitors, surfers and windsurfers, to have an amazing time. This beach also features many facilities as a restaurant and cafeteria.

Fish Market

Port Said's fish market includes a wide variety of delicious options of seafood, which are caught by marine fishermen on a daily basis, ensuring that they are fresh, as the stalls are distributed in the closed indoor hall, which display different types of fish, in addition to shrimp, calamari, crabs and many others. You can choose and purchase what you prefer and you can then deliver it to one of the chefs in the restaurants located inside the hall, and order its preparation

Stabene Culture Hub

This hub organizes tours, musical events and exhibitions, architectural documentations and also documentation of the local semsemia folk music and other cultural events. Additionally, Stabene is also a co-working space where you could do your work with Villa Fernande as your view and get served delicious pastries and drinks.

Shooting Club

For those who are members in the famous Egyptian Shooting Club, there is a branch right here in Port Said! There are even chalets for rent as an accommodation for you, your friends and family in addition to a section on the beach just for Shooting Club members to enjoy.
